Monolithic Zirconia
Monolithic zirconia is a type of crown and bridge milled from a single block of zirconia, with no separate porcelain layer added on top. Where it differs from layered zirconia is in having no porcelain layer on the surface, in the way it transmits light, and in how much tooth structure needs to be removed. On this page, you'll find which cases this single-block structure comes up for, its limitations and the possible risks.
